We know that every trip has individual requirements and that you may have many questions. Our aim is to provide you with clear and helpful information.

The cost depends mainly on the flight distance and whether companions and ground transportation should be included. An intra-European seated transport in a scheduled flight including medical escort and transport to and from the airport costs about 2,500 EUR to 5,000 EUR.

Long-haul transports, e.g. between Europe and North America (USA/Canada) or Europe and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, etc.) are, for flights in Business Class, around 7,500 EUR – 15,000 EUR.

The costs of the medical escort and the entire air medical transport are borne by the client.

Often, patients have taken out international health insurance including repatriation in the event of illness or emergencies. These insurances are often also included in automobile club memberships and credit card contracts. It is always worth checking whether insurance can be claimed. Please check in advance whether the insurance company reimburses our services or uses its own service partners.

Our offers are always “complete” and include all the services you requested in advance, including personal medical care. All services are listed in the quote.

Additional costs can only arise if changes occur during the transport that significantly affect the transport process, e.g. sudden deterioration of the patient’s condition, missing documents (e.g. passport) or delays in the transport due to delays or strikes that require additional intermediate transport or overnight stays.

Payments can be made by bank transfer to our business account. Depending on the bank, a bank transfer takes 1-3 days. We also accept payments by credit card. The credit is issued within a few seconds. Unfortunately, we have to pass on the 3.5% surcharge of the payment service provider to the total price.

If advance payment has been agreed, the total amount is due in full before the start of the transfer. Unfortunately, we cannot offer partial or installment payment.

As soon as all necessary documents (doctor’s report, passport copy, if necessary Fit-to-Fly certificate) are available and the order is placed, we can start booking immediately. In most cases, the journey can then begin within 48 to 72 hours.

Overall, the implementation of a seated transport is possible within 3-5 days from the first contact to the pick-up of the patient if all documents are available.

By default, we plan our quotes with flexible flight tickets that can be changed or cancelled and refunded for free or for a small fee. This will help keep costs down in the event of a change or cancellation of the service. The shorter before the transport a change or cancellation request is communicated, the higher the cancellation costs, especially if a medical escort has already started the journey or service providers, such as ambulance transports, are ready.

With our latest generation oxygen concentrators, we can administer oxygen at a dose of up to 6 liters per minute during the flight and also throughout the transport. Airlines such as Lufthansa also provide their own oxygen systems.

Since the ambient air pressure (and thus the pressure of the available oxygen) in the aircraft cabin is lower than on the ground, the oxygen requirement on the ground should not exceed 3 liters per minute in order to still be able to provide an adequate oxygen supply, including an emergency reserve, even at cruising altitude.

Thanks to a high level of professional expertise and state-of-the-art equipment, a large number of patients with medical problems, acute illnesses and serious injuries can now also be transported safely and gently in scheduled aircraft.

Patients with acute, critical medical conditions, artificial respiration or high doses of circulatory medication are not suitable for scheduled flights. Similarly, patients with active infectious diseases are excluded from scheduled flights. Ultimately, however, each case must be considered individually.
